My favorite thing about my job is when I get clients who are genuinely excited to do their photo shoot. I know not every session I do is for that reason, sometimes it’s just simply because grandma needs new pictures on her wall. And that is just as wonderful. But there is a different energy with clients who are just as excited as you (the photographer) are to be there with you, especially when there is an “important” Football game on.

This family holds a special place in my heart. I won’t go into a long boring story as to why, and it’s not only because Mr. R is my hubby’s boss ;) ;) And I promise I am not trying to gain brownie points (smiley face). But, I do want to say thank you to this amazing family for all that they have done for me and my family. Work aside, you guys are extended family to us and we all love you!

Enjoy your little preview guys! I can’t wait for you to see the rest! So many keepers :D :D

Last night I had a session with a 3 year old and 6 month old. Sometimes, ok most the time, those are tricky ages to photograph…and put them together and it can be VERY tricky. But not with these two boys! They were SO well behaved! Big brother was such a good listener, and even posed himself a few times! And little man, well….he was too interested in all the tasty leaves to even think about crawling away ;)

For this session we went to my newest fave spot here in Highlands Ranch! The weather was perfect. So pretty much all the card were in my favor last night :D

Enjoy your preview, Z family! Hope to have the rest of your edits done soon!

Meet April and her darling family! They were the winners from the Free Mini Session Contest!

We met yesterday at a awesome location out in Parker, definitely a town I need to travel to more, for this session. Right away the little boys warmed up to me and even shook my hand! They were darling! Little C has a stone cold look, that is totally precious! But we did manage to capture some smiles too ;) Big bro was the ham of the bunch. I couldn’t blame him….he was ready to get outta there and get some french fries! I was kinda of jealous! Ha.

It was great to meet you {L} family! Enjoy your sneak! I can’t wait for you to see the rest!

Savannah has been with me since she was in her mommy’s tummy :) ! I love looking back at the sessions and seeing how much the baby & family have changed! From the start Savannah was a georgous little girl. You can view her previous sessions here-

Whew, school starts back up next week! And between you and me, I am so ready! I never thought I would be that mom who was ready for her kids to go back to school, but I am! My two boys have been together way too much this summer & are well in need of a break from each other! I wasn’t expecting this week to be so busy with school prep & I have sadly fallen behind on my work. Yikes! Lucky for me, I have wonderful clients who understand…..or at least they tell me they do ;)

On to the preview…..This Family is well known on this blog, as I have been photographing them since there now 4 year old was just 2! Maxson has now turned the big ONE, and I am so happy to have captured his first year!

Enjoy!

First, one of big bro VJ!

This next one cracks me up. It’s typical of a one year session….they are new walkers, they don’t really have the time to sit for pictures, always ready to get up a get going :)

Isn’t this how you eat cake??!! No….well, maybe you should ;)

And the grand finale! I love this shot! Just look at that face!!

I haven’t photographed this family in almost 4 years! It is amazing how much these beautiful girls have grown & how much my photography has improved! I love looking back at old sessions from when I first started. Some make me cringe, and say “Oh wow!” But, they all make me proud. Proud of how far I have come, proud of the client base I have established and proud of myself for following my dream. I still have a long way to go….but at least I am on the right track ;)

We had so much fun during this shoot! Playing in a beautiful park, water and all, on a gorgeous Colorado evening! What could be better?

Enjoy :D

For this part of Karli’s one year session we went down the road to the Gilbert Riparian Preserve. I had never been, and it was recommended to me by another photographer. It ended up being the perfect spot for this session!

We did these at 6:30PM, so you can only imagine how hot we were. You can see in the last photo how Karli decided she was going to cool down ;)

I am so in love with this little girl and the way this session turned out. Total perfection :D

If you haven’t seen Part One, be sure to check them out here!

See, we started with her near the water….the decision to get IN the water was all Karli :)

I grew up in Arizona, the land of the sun, and am lucky in that I get to go back about 1-3 times a year to visit friends and family. I take advantage of that time to work as well. This is one of the three sessions I had on my last trip. The beautiful S family!

We did this session at the Scottsdale Civic Center. A place I used to go as  kid with my grandmother to visit the library, play in the fountains and people watch. It’s also the place where this couple got engaged! So it was fun for me to come back with them and take pictures of them now as a family of 3!

Being that it is July in AZ, we started our shoot at 6:30 AM! And yes, we were still melting! But the sun was gorgeous, baby was all smiles & it was totally worth it ;)

Here is your preview S Family! I can’t wait for you to see the rest!
