This sweet little princess was a doll for her session. She fought us for a good 2 hours before she finally gave in a conked out. She just didn’t want to sleep. I guess she wanted to remember her modeling debut. Not sleep threw it.

She made my last session of 2011 a memorable one. A session I will always remember. There were tears, laughs and of course baby messes (hence the laughs)! Lots and lots of laughs! ;)

Mom and dad were such troopers. It can be hard on parents when their little one doesn’t want to sleep for their photos, which I completely understand. Dad did have to make a little trip to Starbucks (thanks again for that)…but in the end, it was all worth it. We got some great shots, and mom and dad definitely have a story to tell.

Thank you again for such a fun session yesterday! I hope to work with the 3 of you again soon! Enjoy your preview…can’t wait for you to see the rest!!

This my friends, is what we call a milk coma ;)

Wow, can we say behind! I sure am!! This session was taken 4 days ago…and I am just now getting the preview up?!! Shame on me!!

I had a great time with this family last week! Wind, and cold and all they were all smiles and so much fun! We did have one cranky little one, but what is a family session with 13 people without at least one person crying…not real, that’s what it is ;)

It brought chills (the happy kind) threw me when I found out that dad was here for Thanksgiving all the way from Afghanistan…meeting his 4 month old baby for the first time! So incredibly honorable, to think about, the moments those in the military miss out on to fight for our country….Don’t worry, I am going to get all mushy on you, just had to throw that in there :D

Enjoy your preview guys! I will get the rest done as soon as I can (no later than 2 weeks!)!

Love the way she is looking at her daddy here!!!

Pretty sure they are the most adorable twins, ever!

Was bummed when I noticed he had his glasses on the back of his head…but don’t worry, I will try to edit them out ;)

So I might be biased, being that they are related to me, but how darling is this family!

For this session we went to South Valley Park. It’s a great little area if you are wanting a Colorado setting. Filled with open spaces, Red Rock formations and of course mountain views!

It’s always fun for me to shoot family, (with the camera) , because to an extent I can relax a little bit and it’s a great time to try out new poses! ;)

Enjoy your preview guys! I hope to have your full gallery posted soon(ish)!

Wind has got to be my worst enemy. I don’t like snow either…but to me, wind is just plain annoying. Sure, it serves it’s purpose….but I could live without it :)

This time of year I always get a tad nervous when I have outdoor sessions on the books. It’s Colorado. You NEVER know from hour to hour what is going to happen. This weekends forcast looked promising all week, which made my heart super happy (if you had kids, you will know where that is from)…but then, of course the dang wind decided to move in.

But, that didn’t stop us! Luckily this particular session was scheduled for Down Town Littleton, so I knew we would be able to find ways to block the wind. Had this session be out in an open field….it would not have gone well, at all.

Even my clients who have them up most faith in me, deep down I think they think I am a little crazy when I pull them into an alley and say “this is where we are going to shoot”. I even think I am crazy sometimes, but it always works out great.

I think a ‘grungy’ alley is more fun than a park, but that is just the style I am finding myself wanting to shoot more and more. And I think that is a style that suites me best. It is so fun doing what I do, and finding ‘myself’ along the way…..anyways, I could go on and on, but more on that later!

On to this cute preview :)

These two handsome boys have been posted here before, and I can’t wait to capture all of Maxson’s first year. Such fun!

Yep, I went there. Talking Christmas Cards in September!!! But NOW is the time to get those done and out of the way, before the mad rush! You know you say it every year-”we really need to do cards this year” or “i really want to send out a fun card this time” Well here is your chance : ) Lucky for you, I work with a PRO photo lab that has some super duper cute (as well as the traditional) shapes for Holiday cards. They are known to be LUXE cards. I know a few of you took advantage of the fun shapes last year, and now there are a few more. So exciting…I know, I know.

My plan was to have ONE design example for each of the shapes for this post…and well, that obviously did not happen! But I still wanted to get this up, to get you started on what you want. One of the examples is actually from last year (shame on me!!), but again…I wanted to get this posted ASAP.

Like all the cards I offer, these are COMPLETELY customizable to YOU! You tell me what shape you want, the size you want, the colors you love and those you don’t, let me know the favorite photos from our session and I do all the hard work. And we keep working until the card is PERFECT for you! Your card will be the one that stands out on the card wreaths this year ;)

Enough with my ranting, and on to the cards.

PS-My fave this year is the 8×4 (or 4×8) Ornate…LOVE it!

The Line Up-

Some design examples-

Pretty darn fun, right! Please NOTE—This years CUSTOM CARD CUTOFF DATE will be Saturday December 3rd! Design time can take up to 7 days, and from date of order I get them back within 5 days…that time will get longer as Christmas gets closer. So like I said before, get your orders in soon, before it is too late.

I will leave you now, to drool and debate…and lose sleep…over what card you want most ;)
