Yes, part one. Because I love them so much and just wanted to see them again ;) And because Colorado weather decided to intervene….

You might remember beautiful Nanci from her Boudoir session! This time she came back to me with her fiancée for some engagement photos!

Saturday started off beautiful, and about half way thru the session the wind picked up. Not just a little…but a lot. So much so that we decided not to fight it and pack it in for another day. We did get a LOT of keepers and I am excited to see there two again in May :)

Enjoy your preview you two little love birds! Can’t wait to share more with you!

Before getting to this post, I am going to be doing a little ‘blog bombing’….is that a thing (like photo bombing?)? Well, it is now.  Anyways, as some of you may or may not have heard, my business name will be changing! I know, this sounds like a crazy thing to do….but it’s happening ;) Soon Pixie Dust Photography by Alix Mozota will be no longer and I will simply be Alix Mozota Photography.  Isn’t that easy? The change is BIG, but will be happening slowly. LIttle by little you will notice the changes (like my watermark for now) and I will be pounding this information in to everyones head until the day, and probably for a few weeks after, it is final.

I am Alix Mozota, and I approve this message!

Moving on—-

Nikki & Taylor are what we “old folk” like to call YOUNG and IN LOVE! And simply A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E! I have to admit, when I first found out about their engagement (which is a super cute story, brownie points to Taylor) I was secretly hoping they would ask me to do their engagement photos! And not only did my wish come true, but they also asked me to photograph their wedding day as well! I am so honored and excited to be a part of their beautiful wedding day!

So the wedding theme is going to be Country Chic, so what is the best place for engagement photos?! Well, an old abandoned farm of course!! I was so happy when these two agreed to drive way down to Parker all the way from Ft. Collins! The location was perfect for what they were wanting and I am so ecstatic about how these images turned out. I actually had to shut down Photoshop and walk away so I would stop editing for their preview! If I didn’t have other sessions to post today, I think I would have kept going!

Enjoy your preview you little love birds! Can’t wait to show you more :D

Thank you Amanda for your awesome bubble blowing skills! :D

When Amy contacted me about doing her wedding photos in Colorado Springs, to be honest the first thing that appealed to me was the intimate wedding size of 8 people! And that includes the Bride and Groom! It’s no secret that weddings aren’t my favorite things to photograph. Which is why I only take on a couple a year. Man, they are a LOT of work. I have said it before, and I will say it MANY times again….I do not know how full time Wedding Photographer do it. I really don’t. Kudos to them!

OK, so back to Amy and her wedding :) ! Her wedding was on a GORGEOUS friday morning, in CO Springs. (Yep, that same Friday after those crazy hail/wind/rain storms here in Colorado!) We started with the bride and groom photos at 730am in Manitou Springs. My assistant, Ashely, and I checked out the town the night before and we instantly fell in love! Talk about an adorable little mountain town, full of character and color! Our heads were beaming with ideas, so Friday morning we were really full of excitement. The sun was out (giving Ashely and nice arm work out, poor girl got to block sunspots with the my huge reflector!) and everything was perfect! After about 90 minutes of fun and photos in the town we headed over to 7 Falls for the ceremony. 7 Falls is another location I had never been to, and talk about a perfect spot for a little wedding ceremony! We went up the elevator, THANK GOD, to a little balcony over looking the falls. It was beautiful, short and full with love and emotion. What more could you want from a ceremony, really??!!

Here is a small preview of what a perfect day we had! Thank you again to Amy and Jarod for allowing us to capture your day!

I don’t what else to say about this session other than they are freaking one hot couple! Seriously. I am pretty sure me telling the over, and over….and over, how adorable they were got annoying. But, I kept saying it anyways ;) !

We had a blast in a park in down town Denver. Everything was perfect. I don’t think we could have had better lighting or better weather. The wind was calm and the clouds were out. Absolutely lovely!!

Congratulations again, Kelsi and Max!! Hope you like what you see so far. They all turned out GREAT and I can’t wait for you to see them all.

PS—I am still open for Mexico, Just sayin’ ;)
