Lindsey and I have been friends for years! We met at a mutual friends birthday party, and quickly realized our common interest in cute shorts ;) From that day forward we have been BFF’s. Even when I moved over 900 miles away 14 years ago, our friendship stayed strong and continues to grow.

It is such an amazing honor for me to capture these memories for her. As I look threw these images I get giddy knowing she is about to have her FIRST BABY!!  I am so happy for her & her husband and I just know their sweet little girl is going to have amazing parents.

For this session we decided to escape the heat, if only by 10 degrees, and head up to BEAUTIFUL Sedona. I hadn’t been since I was a kid, so it was fun for me to go back and to show my kids another part of my home state.

Lindsey has ALWAYS been beautiful, the kind of beautiful you hate her but love her for ;) And pregnancy has done nothing but make her even MORE stunning! I have always said she looks a touch like Faith Hill….only prettier :)

For this part of Karli’s one year session we went down the road to the Gilbert Riparian Preserve. I had never been, and it was recommended to me by another photographer. It ended up being the perfect spot for this session!

We did these at 6:30PM, so you can only imagine how hot we were. You can see in the last photo how Karli decided she was going to cool down ;)

I am so in love with this little girl and the way this session turned out. Total perfection :D

If you haven’t seen Part One, be sure to check them out here!

See, we started with her near the water….the decision to get IN the water was all Karli :)

I can’t believe this little princess is already ONE!

Miss Karli wasn’t too sure about this whole cake thing. It took mom smashing her hand in to the cake, for her to realize it was OK to make a mess….just this one time ;)

After this session we also did some outdoor photos that are completely adorable(remember this little ‘sneak’ I posted?)! They deserve their own post, so those will be posted next!

I grew up in Arizona, the land of the sun, and am lucky in that I get to go back about 1-3 times a year to visit friends and family. I take advantage of that time to work as well. This is one of the three sessions I had on my last trip. The beautiful S family!

We did this session at the Scottsdale Civic Center. A place I used to go as  kid with my grandmother to visit the library, play in the fountains and people watch. It’s also the place where this couple got engaged! So it was fun for me to come back with them and take pictures of them now as a family of 3!

Being that it is July in AZ, we started our shoot at 6:30 AM! And yes, we were still melting! But the sun was gorgeous, baby was all smiles & it was totally worth it ;)

Here is your preview S Family! I can’t wait for you to see the rest!
